Cookie Policy

What a cookie is

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. It is used to remember information between pages or between visits. Alongside cookies there are other similar technologies, such as the browser's local storage, which serve a similar purpose and which this policy treats the same way.

Our approach

At liorvant.com we do not load any advertising or analytics cookie until you give us your consent. Until you accept, your browser does not establish any connection with Google or with any third party for advertising purposes.

This is not the norm: many sites load their measurement tools from the outset and only disable cookie storage. We have chosen to make rejecting mean that nothing is actually sent.

Cookies we use

Technical (no consent required)

liorvant_ad_consentLocal storage, first-partyRemembering whether you accepted or rejected advertising cookies, so you are not asked again on every visit24 months

This cookie is strictly necessary for the consent system itself to work, and is therefore exempt from requiring prior authorization. It is not shared with anyone and never leaves your browser.

Advertising (only if you accept them)

NameTypeProviderPurposeDuration
_gcl_auCookie, third-partyGoogleMeasuring whether a visit coming from an ad ends up contacting us90 days
_gcl_awCookie, third-partyGoogleLinking your visit to the specific ad you clicked on90 days

These cookies belong to Google Ads. Google may set additional cookies associated with this service; you can check the current list and how they work in Google's documentation on the use of cookies in its services.

We do not use analytics, social media, or content-personalization cookies.

How to give or withdraw your consent

The first time you visit, we show you a notice with two options, accept and reject, given equal weight. The notice does not close on its own: it stays until you choose one of the two.

You can change your decision at any time from the "Cookie preferences" link found in the footer of every page. Clicking it brings the notice back so you can choose again.

Your decision is kept for 24 months. After that period, we will ask you again.

How to manage them from your browser

Regardless of the above, you can block or delete cookies from your browser's settings. Each browser handles this differently; look for the privacy or browsing data section in its settings. Note that blocking all cookies may affect how this and other websites work.

International transfers

If you accept advertising cookies, Google may process data on servers located outside the European Economic Area. Google states that it bases these transfers on the standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission and on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. More information is available in Google's privacy policy.

Changes to this policy

We may update it if the tools we use or the applicable regulations change. The date of the last update appears at the top.
